Nassau, Bahamas

Olives (and Stix and Cigars & Coffee)

Entering Nassau from the ships, hang a slight left past the scooter shop after leaving customs; you will see an entrance to the arcade a few doors over under a green sign: Nassau International Bazaar. Olives offers a delightful mix of treats, as well as both lunch and dinner menues. Internet is available, and smoking is common. Read on for Stix and Cigars & Coffee.

The arcade runs through the middle of the restaurant and the roof is open above the walkway; seated areas are in shade. The bar has a nice staff and colorful mix of drinks. I have written much in this fine area.

Today, I sipped on a Terroir, made by Chinnook Cellars and a 2013 nominee for US Cigar of the Year. Sean at Tranquilo suggested it, and a good suggestion. Four poems will be credited to that fine leaf joined with a black Russian and later a cup of espresso and fine company.

Oh, by the way, if you slip in the next arcade from this one, you will find Stogies Cigar Shop and Coffee Bar; nice visit and good humidor. Across from is is Stix, a small restaurant where you can enjoy the leaf you just purchased.
