These stops have proven to be good inspirations for my writing. The ambiance works, the stick choices vary, the staff helps...all work together for the cigar lover and (in my case) the poet.

Never a cigar bar or lounge, Twin Fennigans now has a patio and cigars are welcome there. He is working to get a small humidor and would welcome group meetings in the shaded and protected veranda.
More coming as events unfold: the kitchen is finishing up and the bar will be open for business in very early May, 2019.

Entering Nassau from the ships, hang a slight left past the scooter shop after leaving customs; you will see an entrance to the arcade a few doors over under a green sign: Nassau International Bazaar. A regular stop in travels up the coast. Isabella's is a delightful shop offering cigars, espresso, and quiet conversation as well as cigar and coffee gift items. Isabella is a warm and wonderful woman whose presence in the cigar world is a pleasant surprise. Just off of St George Street.

Selva Verde Lodge
In the rainforest, this ecocenter lodge, north of San Jose about 100 miles, is quiet and filled with flowers and animals and the Sarapiqui River. Take 32 up, cut west onto 4; the lodge is just west of Puerto Viejo.

This is a Royal Caribbean stop. The stone tower overlooking the bay makes for a cool place to see what is not happening and to enjoy some wrapped leaf.

This very touristy looking building from the outside, a rather garish yellow, becomes peaceful in the upstairs cafe where a stick and coffee can be enjoyed overlooking the bay.

The No-Name Bar
It sits across from the bus pickup point for going further into town and is a fine place for internet connections and to enjoy a marguarita, some pita bread and hummus, a book, fine conversation, and, yes, a cigar.

DAS Cigars and Baker Pina Colada Bar
Both are just inside where street merchants have booths. DAS sits across from where Bakers offers his own unique bland of pina coladas. You will see a full range of cigars at DAS, and often see a person cutting and rolling new merchandise.
